1. Download Patterns:

  • Click on picture to enlarge on your screen.
  • Right click on picture.
  • Click on "Save Picture As"
  • Save to your computer. Print at 100% scale in any photo/picture software.
NOTE: all seams in this project are 1/4" wide

2. Pin "Sides" pattern onto fabric A, taking care that the one edge is on a fold. (I used the coffee border print) Cut 2 of these.
3. Pin "Bottom & Sides" to a different fabric print, taking care that the one edge is on a fold. (I used brown stripes for this.) Cut 1 of these
4. Sew the bottom to the sides at seem "X."  Press seams.
5. This sewn piece will now be your pattern for the lining. Pin the sewn fabric onto another fabric pattern. (I used the all-over coffee beans.) Cut 1.
6. Cut firm fusible stabilizer as shown:
(not drawn to scale)
7. Iron stabilizer to the wrong side of the lining fabric as shown. Follow directions from stabilizer manufacturer. (Leave 1/4" of fabric surrounding the stabilizer.)

8. Sew the lining and box fabric together, right side to right side, around all edges except leave about 5" open on one edge; turn the fabric to the right side at this opening. Then, stitch the opening closed.
9. Fold box up. Place Velcro dots at points as shown in diagram above. Sew Velcro in place.
10. Sew a button to the outer corner of the box as decoration.
